    International guests enjoyed fine Polish cuisine specialties served in an innovative Nordic way by Poland’s renown chefs Krzysztof ‘Chris’ Basznianin and Mariusz Siwak.

    In this unusual way Ambassador Henryka Mościcka Dendys used the talent and mastery of Polish chefs to take a group of international guests, representatives of the Danish business, media and diplomatic corps, on a culinary journey through Poland, while recalling the success of Polish democratic transformation after the historical first semi-free elections on 4th of June 1989. The menu included traditional Polish servings – freshwater fish, venison and buckwheat served in an innovative way – the latter as an ice cream dessert. The guests also had the opportunity to taste excellent Polish wines from the Turnau Winery of Western Pomerania as well as traditional Polish sweet-liquors.


    Krzysztof „Chris” Basznianin – restaurant owner, member of jury of culinary competitions, tutor for generations of young chefs, traveler. He lives in Malmoe and cooperates with restaurants both on the Swedish and Danish side of Øresund. 


    Mariusz Siwak – head chef at the Park Hotel in Szczecin known for giving traditional dishes a modern twist. He participated, i.a., in the 6th season of culinary show “Top Chef Poland”.
